Semi runs into 5th-wheeler truck

A truck pulling a 5th-wheel RV pulled into oncoming traffic on Highway 97 Wednesday afternoon. The driver was cited for DUI and taken to KVH for treatment.

A semi collided with a truck pulling a fifth-wheel RV yesterday afternoon on Highway 97 at the Simcoe Drive exit in Goldendale.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the semi was southbound on 97, and the Ford F350 truck at stopped at the stop sign on Simcoe. Then the truck pulled into traffic, failing to yield to the semi. The semi struck the truck, and both vehicles ended up off the east shoulder of 97. The semi was driven by Sergey Drobny of Sacramento, California, and the truck was driven by Chad Rogers of Moses Lake, Washington.

Rogers was charge with DUI and transported to Klickitat Valley Health for treatment. Drobny was not injured.
