June 3, 1920 – 100 Years Ago

Goldendale High School class of 1920 was the first class to graduate from the new all brick school on Academy Street. The six seniors had only studied in the new building for less than a month. On Tuesday, May 11, 1920, the recently completed school building was occupied by the entire student body for the first time. Moving was completed in one day, and on Wednesday regular work took place. A short description of the new building may interest readers. On the first floor or basement are the cooking and sewing laboratories.
