DEDICATED GROUP:The Goldendale Grange Hall became a distribution point for food and necessities for many in the area. Since the county has entered Phase 2, the need is diminishing, and the program is coming to an end.

Lanae Johnson writes this first-hand account of the Goldendale Grange Care Package Project. The project is shutting down; Johnson explains why.

The Goldendale Grange Care Package Project (CPP) was originally started to provide groceries and essential supplies to seniors and those individuals most susceptible to the Covid 19 virus. A majority of those individuals were advised not to leave their homes during the pandemic.

In early March, a small group of local volunteers, led by Aimee Waddell, met at the Goldendale Grange Hall with a resolve to help mitigate the effects of the pandemic. It was at this meeting the Care Package Project was conceived."
