BLM protest comes to Goldendale

Wind and verbal confrontation were the key features of a protest held Saturday afternoon on the Klickitat County courthouse lawn in Goldendale in support of the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement.

Some 25 people showed up to participate in the protest, led by The Dalles resident Rosie Strange, that ran from noon to about 3:30 p.m. The demonstration was peaceful, though there were heated words by Strange directed at local police and counter protesters. Almost all the group were from outside Goldendale, with only a few city residents participating.
