June 11, 1891 – 129 Years Ago

Great improvements are being made on the property of the Goldendale Milling Company. Roller processes will be put in consisting of five roller sets of double rollers, scalpers, purifiers, and the like, manufactured by the J.I. Case Company of Racine, Wisconsin. The capacity of the mill will be 100 barrels of flour per day. With the exceptions of Spokane and the Sound Cities, there will be no larger mill in the state. [GMC -oldest flour mill in the county – Buildings were located in the field east of Allyn’s Building Center.]
