KLASAC meeting coming up

November 20, 2019

A message from Sheila Crapper, KLASAC coordinator, with just a few reminders: our KLASAC meeting will be held in Klickitat next week on Wednesday, Nov. 20, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Klickitat Community Center. I hope to see all of you there. And the Community Surveys still need to be completed. If you have not already completed one for KLASAC, please do so. It only takes a couple of minutes. Please feel free to share these links. The online survey in English is at, and the online survey in Spanish is at And there will be no Learn & Play in December but will start back up on Jan. 14, 2020, at the Klickitat Community Center from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. For more information, please visit or call (509) 316-9523.

Without news coming in, I guess you’ll have to put up with a personal comment. I wish to thank everyone for all the well wisher’s food, cards, prayers, and calls. It looks as though it will be a longer row to hoe in getting the broken shoulder usable again. I’m looking at another six weeks (it’s already been eight) just to see what to expect. The latest doc says not to hope for much, with the delay in getting treatment sooner for the break, but because of all of you encouraging me, I hope to prove him wrong. We all have our trials and tribulations, one kind or another, and it is up to us to either let the problem control us or us control it. With so many people going through much more difficult times than I, I feel that I am quite blessed in so many ways, and in time the shoulder will heal. I am not the first, nor will I be the last, to go through it, so my attitude is, “If they can do it, I can too.” After all, I need to get back to my sewing clothes for the Samaritan Purse, and my latest book can’t write itself.
